U.S.-based technology giant Google plans to purchase a swathe of land for its proposed mega-campus complex in San Jose.

Without any subsidies, Google will spend above $100 million for approximately 21 acres of land for its proposed mega-campus.

The proposed campus will accommodate 15,000 to 20,000 employees and include offices, retail space, and thousands of residential units.

Google is in negotiations with the site owners on the plan to build the mega-campus 15 miles south of its headquarters.
