Switzerland-based H55, a leading provider of electric propulsion technologies for the aviation industry, has successfully raised $49 million in Series C funding. This substantial funding round, spearheaded by ND Capital, Tippet Venture Partners, RTX Ventures, and private investors, is earmarked to expedite the commercialization of electric and hybrid propulsion solutions and battery systems. H55 aims to cater to the burgeoning demand in the emerging electric aviation sector, facilitating a swift path to Type Certification (TC) by 2024. CEO Martin Larose and Executive Chairman André Borschberg are at the helm, guiding H55 to enhance aerospace sustainability, efficiency, and safety through their cutting-edge electric propulsion systems. The raised capital will drive infrastructure investments, including a new facility in Montreal, Quebec, and accelerate the development and rollout of advanced electric aviation technologies.
