Hong Kongese textile company Epic Group plans to infuse about $20 million in Ranchi, State of Jharkhand, India, this year.
With the investment, the company plans to establish a greenfield garment unit in India with about 40 lines.
The project is predicted to have a direct employment potential of 4000 people with indirect employment potential upwards of about 20000 people.
Epic Group’s intent to infuse in India is also driven by the fact that the promoters are of Indian origin and they want to contribute in their own way to the overall theme of development coupled with the infusion of technology and upskilling of the local workforce.
