Indian chemical manufacturing company DCM Shriram plans to invest 1,070 crore rupees ($150.3 million) in capacity expansion at its Bharuch plant in Gujarat.

With the investment, DCM Shriram will extend its chloralkali capacity by 700 tonnes per day (TPD) and captive power capacity by 120 megawatts (MW) at Bharuch to be commissioned by March 2021.

DCM Shriram will also add 30 MW co-generation power at a sugar plant, 200-kilolitre per day distillery, 66 MW power at Kota and 40 TPD Polyvinyl chloride at Kota to further strengthen the business.

During the quarter ended December 2018, DCM Shriram booked $295.7 million in net sales.
