Indian green energy infrastructure developer EverSource Capital is holding discussions to buy a minority stake in peer Ayana Renewable Power.

EverSource, a joint venture between private equity fund Everstone Group and UK renewable energy company Lightsource BP, intends to commit around $100 million in Ayana Renewable.

By 2022, Ayana aims to add at least 2,000 megawatts of renewable power in countries such as India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

In October last year, EverSource was planning to back a renewable energy platform launched by Ostro Energy. Ostro Energy intended to secure about $100 million to $150 million from EverSource by selling a controlling stake in the new platform.
