Future Supply Chain Solutions, Indian supply chain and logistics unit of retailing company Future Enterprise Ltd., will establish India Food Grid, a food distribution centre platform.
Future Supply Chain Solutions will infuse 1,000 crore rupees ($141.8 million) to develop the food distribution centre, that will provide pan-India reach.
The new project is expected to redefine India's complex food and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) supply chain.
India Food Grid will be developed into large food and FMCG distribution centres where consumer products will be distributed from an integrated food distribution centre to retail stores in a radius of up to 225 kilometres.
