Indian hospitality startup Oyo intends to invest about 1,400 crore rupees ($200 million) in its India and South Asia business in 2019.

The money will go towards capital expenditure, technology, and leadership.

The company, which is valued at about $5 billion, aims at focusing on South Asia, as well as widening its presence in India.

Recently, Oyo raised $100 million from Chinese ride-sharing to artificial intelligence company Didi Chuxing, completing the $1 billion fundraising it had promised last year.
