Indian solar systems manufacturing company RenewSys announced expansion plans at its facility in Fab City, Hyderabad and Bengaluru with an investment of $25 million.

With the investment, RenewSys expects to increase its solar panel capacity from the existing 300 megawatts (MW) to 1.5 gigawatts (GW) by end of 2019.

By the end of December 2018, RenewSys will expand the capacity of its Hyderabad unit from 300 MW to 700 MW and then to 1 GW by end of 2019.

Additionally, RenewSys intends to set up a 500 MW greenfield solar modules unit in Mumbai and is currently scouting for a suitable location in Ambarnath area.
