Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has agreed with The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to set up two grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.

SECI has signed a memorandum of understanding with SDMC for the generation of 27.5 MW of power from two separate solar plants in Faridabad and Delhi.

The estimated cost for the projects are 1,450 million rupees ($20.7 million) and $2.8 million respectively.

The inducing of the two solar projects is in line with SDMC’s commitment to conserve natural resources, reduce its consumption of thermal power and environment and earn huge savings.
