Indian real estate financial technology firm SmartOwner Services India Pvt. Ltd. has inaugurated a real estate private equity fund with a target size of 500 crore rupees ($71 million).

In October last year, SmartOwner Capital Growth Fund I was filed with the Securities Exchange Board of India as a Category-II real estate alternative investment fund.

The vehicle, launched with a greenshoe option of $71 million, is anticipated to infuse in real estate assets such as co-working and commercial spaces.

In June 2018, SmartOwner announced the launch of a series of exclusive international hospitality portfolios. The first portfolio, STR-APX-ONE, targets the high-growth Asia-Pacific region.
