India’s TAKE to buy U.S. KAI Research & DataCeutics for $72 mln

TAKE Solutions Ltd., an Indian life sciences and supply chain management solutions unit of Take Solutions Pte. Ltd., has agreed to buy two U.S.-based companies operating in the life sciences space for 507 crore rupees ($72 million).

TAKE Solutions aims to acquire U.S.-based health research company KAI Research for $27 million and clinical data management services provider DataCeutics for $45 million in cash deal.

With the acquisition of KAI, TAKE will boost its therapeutic expertise in mental health, musculoskeletal diseases, neurology, infectious diseases, oncology and medical devices, and DataCeutics’ deal will strengthen its data science capabilities, particularly in life sciences as well as boosting its footprint in the U.S.

TAKE will complete its acquisition of KAI by the end of this month and that of DataCeutics by the end of February. For the previous financial year, KAI Research’s booked $10.5 million in revenue and DataCeutics reported $20.9 million.
