Indian agricultural-technology startup AgroStar has landed $27 million in its latest funding round.

The Series C round was led by Bertelsmann India with participation from its existing backers Accel, Chiratae Ventures and Aavishkar Bharat Fund.

AgroStar intends to use the funds to boost its operations and reinforce its technology platform.

In addition, the company aims to infuse in strengthening its leadership team by hiring top executives to lead various verticals like technology, data science and agriculture.
