Indian hotel and resort operator Mayfair Hotels & Resorts is planning to inject 5.25 billion rupees (approximately $73 million) in new properties at Satpada in Puri district and Bhubaneswar.

Mayfair Hotels has also proposed a Mayfair Convention Centre and 250 room business hotel in Bhubaneswar with an investment of $42 million, boasting a seating capacity for over 3000 people. Additionally, Mayfair Hotels aims to invest in Mayfair Bungalows with an amount of about $14 million.

The proposed luxury golf resort at Satapada equipped with a modern golf course is estimated to cost $17 million. The resort will have accompaniments like helipad and jetty spread over 50 acres of land facing the Sipakuda sea mouth. Besides, the resort ecosystem would be made up by a crafts village with local artisans residing.

On public-private partnership mode operation, the project expects to upgrade and operate the existing government properties providing accommodation facilities, inspection bungalows, forest bungalows and Panthanivas at strategic locations, which will enhance tourist accommodation facilities.
