Indian hospital chains operator Manipal Hospitals has offered to buy multi-super speciality hospital company Medanta.
As part of the proposed acquisition, Manipal Hospitals submitted a binding offer of 5,800 crore rupees ($831 million) to buy Medanta.
Medanta’s existing investor, Carlyle, will decide on the offer by next week and the Medanta board is expected to meet in the next two weeks on the matter.
The documentation work will be started once the Medanta management accepts the offer from Manipal Hospitals.
