India's Milkbasket bags $10.5 mln in funding led by UK's Unilever Ventures

Indian online grocery delivery startup Milkbasket, part of Doorstep Retail Solutions Pvt. Ltd., has secured $10.5 million in an equity financing round.

UK-based Unilever Ventures, the venture capital and private equity arm of consumer packaged goods company Unilever Plc, has led the round, bringing Milkbasket's total funding raised to date to $26 million.

Additionally, other backers who participated in the latest investment include Mayfield India, Kalaari Capital and Blume Ventures as well as Indian family offices.

Milkbasket said that the latest funding enables the company to further invest in talent, geographic expansion and customer-centric innovation.
