Indonesia’s PT Medco to acquire UK’s Ophir Energy in $440.8 mln deal

Indonesian oil and gas company PT Medco Energi Internasional TBK plans to acquire UK-based rival Ophir Energy PLC in a takeover offer.

PT Medco Energi will pay for 707.2 million shares in Ophir at $0.62 per Ophir share.

As a result of the deal, PT Medco Energi will acquire Ophir at a valuation of 343 million pounds ($440.8 million).

In 2016, PT Medco Energi generated $573.9 million in revenue.
