Indonesian human resource platform Qareer Group Asia has raised a $10.5 million in its funding round.

Led by Indonesian technology to telecommunication company PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (Emtek), the round also had participation from other investors including existing investors Kejora Ventures and supported by Japanese technology to investment giant SoftBank.

With the capital raised, Qareer Group Asia will be able to ward off incoming competition in the regional jobs marketplace industry.

In the third quarter, Emtek also made $4 million investment in exchange for a 33.5 percent stake or 310,472 shares in Qareer Group Asia.
