Iran-based steel manufacturer Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Co. (MIDHCO) has finalized the construction of its 15 trillion Iranian rials ($357 million) steelmaking plant in Bardsir.

The new steel plant, situated 60 kilometers west of Kerman, has created 600 direct and over 6,500 indirect jobs in the region.

The facility is equipped with one of the largest cranes for carrying smelter and also fume treatment plant for decreasing environmental pollution.

The steelmaking plant is anticipated to manufacture one million tons of steel ingot per year.
