Ireland-based auto parts company Aptiv plans to invest around 35 million euros ($39.6 million) in its new 40,000 square metre manufacturing factory in Zajecar, Serbia next year.

With around 1,000 workers to be employed initially as production develops, another 1,500 new jobs will be created.

Italian small appliance manufacturer De Longhi will also invest $45.2 million in its production facility in Zajecar, to establish a production centre for Southeast Europe and employ around 2,000 workers.

Furthermore, U.S.-based consultation to healthcare company The Poseidon Group plans to inaugurate a shopping centre, worth around $16.9 million investment and employ around 500 workers.
