Kerry, a taste and nutrition solutions company headquartered in Ireland, has inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in Tanzania, strategically positioning itself in one of East Africa's fastest-growing economies. This move underscores Kerry's commitment to supporting the local food processing industry and unlocking the region's potential. The facility, part of Kerry's vision to create sustainable nutrition globally, will offer high-quality, locally-produced ingredients, catering to food and beverage manufacturers in East Africa. Kerry's expansion aligns with its acquisition of Afribon, a regional food ingredients supplier, and the launch of a cutting-edge taste facility in South Africa, further enhancing its presence in the African market.

Kerry's expansion into Tanzania reflects its dedication to fostering local food production and supporting the food processing industry in the region. This strategic move complements its presence in East Africa through the acquisition of Afribon and the establishment of a state-of-the-art taste facility in South Africa. Recently, Kerry announced a 300 million euros ($319 million) share buyback programme. The company expects full-year earnings growth to be at the low end of its previously stated 1 to 5 percent constant currency range.
