Irish food company Fyffes has acquired Canadian top mushroom producer Highline for $145million.
Highline said its management team will continue to run the business.
Under the deal, all five of Highline’s Canadian locations will remain in operation and the workforce of 1,150 employees will remain intact.
The company also said that the deal will give it access to a global market leader in fresh produce.
