Italian electricity and gas manufacturer and distributor Enel SpA’s renewables unit, Enel Green Power SpA, has divested a 50 megawatt (MW) wind farm in Uruguay for 106 million euros ($120 million).

The wind farm, which was sold to UK-based renewable energy manager Atlantica Yield PLC, is situated about 320 kilometers away from Montevideo, Uruguay.

With this transaction, Enel Green Power SpA has closed on the divestment of its Uruguay subsidiary, Enel Green Power Uruguay SA.

The deal is part of Enel’s disposal programme of non-core assets. At the same time, the transaction raises Atlantica Yield’s wind portfolio in Uruguay to 150 MW.
