Italian energy major Enel, through its renewables arm Enel Green Power (EGP), will develop a 231.8 megawatts solar park in Mexico's Tlaxcala state.
Named Magdalena 2, the photovoltaic (PV) project will require an investment of 139.4 million euros ($160 million).
Scheduled to come online in mid-2019, the PV facility will be comprised of 550,000 solar panels.
Earlier this month, Enel announced it has closed a deal for the sale of an 80 percent interest in a 1.8 gigawatts renewable energy portfolio in Mexico.
