Popolare di Bari, an Italian lender, plans to gain up to 500 million euros ($577 million) to ramp up its balance sheet.

The company said that it will get the investments from new and existing investors.

Popolare di Bari aims to offer new shares at up to $345.7 million and the placement of $230.4 million in subordinated debt.

The new business plan and capital measures will be approved by Popolare di Bari’s board of directors in the meeting at the end of January.
