Jamaican abattoir Meat Experts Ltd has been acquired by cheeses and other dairy products maker Everything Fresh (EFresh) for about $50 million.
The acquisition will add several new products to EFresh’s line of products while promoting local livestock and produce farmers.
As a result of the deal, EFresh will be serving both its bulk and retail clients with extra products that will be launched under the Meat Experts and the Everything Fresh brands.
Everything Fresh, which booked about $421.9 million in the last quarter’s revenue, will invest an extra $30 million on upgrading Meat Experts facility.
