Japanese advertising agency Dentsu has agreed to sell its stake in price comparison site kakaku.com to telecommunications firm KDDI for 79.3 billion yen ($734.57 million).

Dentsu will sell its entire 16.6 percent stake in kakaku.com at $20.32 per share, compared with the closing share price of $21.44.

The company said it decided to sell the stake to accommodate expected funding needs for domestic and international mergers and acquisitions.

Dentsu expects to book about $462.1 million as a gain from the transaction for its financial third quarter ending in September.
