Japanese women's lingerie and underwear manufacturer Wacoal aims to commit 100 crore rupees ($14.5 million) in India over the next three years.

The company, which seeks to generate revenue of $25 million in India by 2021, will take the number of its exclusive stores in the country to 70 by 2021 while adding another 80 stores in the shop-in-shop format.

Wacoal said that with this extension, it intends to explore its full potential and further solidify the company’s position as a leading entity in India's luxury lingerie market.

The company plans to establish more stores in the existing markets like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru as well as open the latest stores in the other top 10 cities of the country.
