JTEKT North America, the U.S. ball and roller bearings manufacturing unit of Japanese machine tools to home accessories company JTEKT, is committing in its Koyo brand bearing manufacturing facility in Richland County.

JTEKT North America is forecasting to inject $50 million in the plant over a five year period.

The company said that its commitment to the Richland facility backs its Customer First target to provide the highest quality hub units.

In May, JTEKT North America invested $19.4 million to expand its existing production facility in Oconee County.
