Kahului Airport, a U.S.-based regional airport operator, has inaugurated a facility for car rental companies.
With a total investment of $340 million, the facility houses all major rental car companies in one spot and connects passengers with the airport via electric tram.
Kahului Airport Consolidated Rent-A-Car facility will help save energy costs, reduce waste and increase indoor air quality.
The airport’s new tram will also relieve congestion by eliminating 25 customer shuttle buses making an average of 85 trips per hour.
