Maisha Meds, a Kenyan digital health organization, has secured $5.25 million in scale-up stage 3 funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Development Innovation Ventures (DIV). This funding will facilitate the expansion of Maisha Meds' mobile software platform to seven thousand five hundred pharmacies and clinics across Africa, delivering subsidized malaria care to nearly 1 million patients. The platform empowers rural pharmacists and clinicians by connecting them with affordable, high-quality medicines and incentivizing best practices in malaria care. Additionally, it offers discounted testing and treatment, ensuring easier and more affordable access to essential healthcare services for patients. Maisha Meds has a track record of improving malaria care in Kenya and is now extending its impact to other African nations with the support of USAID DIV and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Maisha Meds is dedicated to providing affordable and high-quality healthcare services to rural communities in Africa. By expanding its platform, the organization aims to address various health conditions, including family planning and human immunodeficiency virus prevention, underscoring its commitment to improving healthcare access across the continent.
