Israel, Tel Aviv-based Lunar.dev has unveiled its open-source API Consumption Management solution alongside $6 million in Seed funding. The funding round, led by Uncork Capital and featuring participation from existing investor Angular Ventures, aims to support the expansion of the open-source platform and the development of its commercial SaaS offering set to launch in early 2024. Lunar.dev, founded in 2022 by Eyal Solomon and Roy Gabbay, provides organizations with a comprehensive API consumption management solution. The open-source platform offers rapid setup, providing a holistic view of all APIs in use, complete with metrics for each. This facilitates easy identification of 3rd party API issues, allowing real-time fixes for concerns such as latency, breaking changes, and high costs, while enabling the implementation of enforcement policies.
