United Caps, a Luxembourg-based plastic caps and closures designer and producer, is planning to construct a new manufacturing plant in the Valframbert Business Park of Alençon, France following its strategy, Close to You.

The project is expected to be built with an investment of 12 million euros ($13.8 million).

Partnering with the Communauté Urbaine d’Alençon and with Orne Développement, a service of the Orne Department Council, United Caps is negotiating the purchase of 25,000 square meters of land for initial construction of a purpose-built factory on an area of 4,000 square meters.

United Caps said that with it is especially interested in building a factory in Alençon because of its proximity to customers, who will have access to its full portfolio of solutions, and will also benefit from the proximity to the company’s research and development center in Messia, Jura, France, if customization or bespoke development is required.
