Malaysia’s edotco buys 80% stake in Tanjung Digital for $35.48 mln

Malaysian telecommunications infrastructure services edotco has acquired 80 percent stake in information technology services provider Tanjung Digital for 140 million Malaysian ringgit ($35.48 million).

The move will allow edotco to expand its presence and improve the operational efficiency of tower infrastructure in Kedah, the northern state of Malaysia, with a portfolio of 225 telco towers.

By expanding the company’s presence in Kedah, edotco will work with the entire ecosystem to ensure network providers are able to strengthen their service quality and network footprint across the state.

In May, edotco’s unit in Bangladesh sold a 30 percent stake to Indian electronic trading company Getco.
