Malta’s Accredited Insurance completes acquisition of UK’s MPS for $20.4 mln

Accredited Insurance (Europe) Ltd., the Malta-based non-life insurer unit of Bermuda-based rival Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings Ltd., has closed on the purchase of UK-based peer MPS Risk Solutions Ltd.

Randall & Quilter paid 16 million pounds ($20.4 million) for MPS Risk.

Following regulatory approval, Accredited bought MPS Risk Solutions from UK-based medical care company The Medical Protection Society Ltd.

Randall & Quilter generates $221.6 million in revenue annually.
