Mexican telecommunications services company America Movil plans to buy 100 percent of U.S. peer Nextel’s Brazil operation.

Claro Americas, a subsidiary of América Móvil, will pay $905 million for the company, which is controlled by U.S. Nii Holdings Inc., which provides wireless communication services to the individual consumers under the Nextel brand in Brazil.

In January, America Movil purchased Spanish peer Telefonica’s assets in Guatemala and El Salvador, respectively for $333 million and $315 million.

Annually, América Móvil generates approximately $63.5 billion in revenue.
