In a significant development, Morocco is advancing a $247 million highway project that will establish a crucial connection between Berrechid and Tit Mellil, located to the south of Casablanca. This initiative aims to mitigate traffic congestion on the route from Casablanca's International Airport to the city center.

The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development primarily funds this undertaking, while Moroccan state-owned highway entity Société Nationale des Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) manages the construction, with four separate contractors responsible for different segments of the project.
