New Zealand-based milk and nutritional powders producer Mataura Valley Milk Ltd., a unit of breeding stock breeders management company China Animal Husbandry Group, has inaugurated its $240 million facility.

Mataura Valley said that the plant was projected to pour about $90 million annually, directly or indirectly, into the South's economy.

The nutrition facility is part of Mataura Valley Milk Ltd's strategic aim to commit in the most advanced production technology, people and systems to deliver a broad range of world-class nutrition, including food for babies and toddlers.

The company said that the plant started exporting products last month and it is a foundation for establishing a strong future in terms of the people it will bring and the services that will come here to support it.
