New Zealand-based entertainment and casino company SkyCity Entertainment has sold its Darwin business, SkyCity Casino and resort, to U.S.-based food service and hospitality company Delaware North for $188 million.

SkyCity said it had signed an agreement to sell the Darwin business it has owned for 14 years to Delaware North.

The purchase agreement is subject to the approval of Australia. Earlier this year, the casino complex was worth between $200 and $250 million.

In 2014, SkyCity Entertainment is expected to have paid $195 million for SkyCity Darwin Casino.
