Boomplay Music, a Nigerian media streaming service platform, has secured $20 million in Series A funding.
Led by Maison Capital, the funding round also included participation from Seas Capital.
Boomplay Music said that the company intends to use the proceeds from the funding to continue its rapid expansion on the continent, acquisitions, recruitment and product optimization.
Furthermore, Boomplay Music, developed by China's Transsnet Music Ltd., is planning to move into production, recording artists and the live concert space.
