Yara Ghana, a subsidiary of Norwegian nitrogen-based mineral fertilizers and related industrial products manufacturer Yara International ASA, has injected over $15 million into a new fertilizer terminal and blending facility in Tema.

The terminal will facilitate the ready supply and availability of premium crop nutrition solutions to Ghanaian farmers, enabling them to advance their productivity and livelihoods.

Yara Ghana said that the new facility will make Ghana a hub for the supply of fertilizer inputs within the Sub-Region and contribute to employment and revenue generation to the State.

The new terminal, with a storage capacity of more than 50,000 tonnes, will be formally inaugurated on February 20, 2019.
