U.S. design, architecture, engineering and planning firm HOK and peer Ratio Architects Inc. plan to refurbish the PNC Arena, an indoor arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The proposed refurbishments will include a new rooftop bar and restaurant at the upgraded south end entrance, while renovations such as advanced seating will take place in the venue’s interior.

Ratio and HOK’s projected building cost value is an estimated $167.4 million to $201.8 million, with additional costs for planning and fixtures.

The upgrades will take place in phases beginning in 2020 with the addition of new office space for the Carolina Hurricanes, an ice hockey team, and its parent company.
