Rwanda secures a lucrative coffee export deal with South Korea, facilitated by the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB). The agreement allows Rwanda to export 20 containers of green coffee, valued at 2.5 billion Rwandan francs ($1.94 million), following the success at the Coffee Expo Seoul 2024. Attended by sixty thousand participants worldwide, the expo served as a platform for Rwandan coffee exporters to showcase their products and establish valuable markets, with support from the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), Private Sector Federation (PSF), and Rwanda Embassy in South Korea.

NAEB noted that Rwandan exhibitors secured a market to export 76.8 tonnes of green coffee in 2024, projecting revenue of $387,486.65. AEB emphasizes the need to enhance coffee yield and productivity by replacing aging trees with new varieties, aiming to boost overall productivity in Rwanda's coffee sector.
