SANY India to invest about $140 million in capacity expansion

SANY India, the construction machinery unit of Chinese heavy equipment manufacturer SANY Group, announced plans to boost production capacity at its Pune facility.

With plans to invest 1,000 crore rupees (about $140 million), SANY India will scale up its construction machinery production capacity to 25,000 units in India.

The investment will be done in a phased manner over the next five years while expanding manufacturing projects.

SANY India said that the investment will be spent on the expansion of products like excavators, concrete equipment, cranes, road machinery, piling machinery among others.
