Red Sea Global, a Saudi Arabian regenerative tourism destinations developer, has announced a $1.5 billion green utility project in the kingdom.

As part of the deal, Red Sea has signed up ILF Consulting Engineers as an independent engineer for the implementation phase of a carbon-neutral utility system in Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, the scheme is being developed under the public-private partnership model by a consortium led by Acwa Power and the renewable energy for the project will be provided via a solar present value plant and battery energy storage system.

The project, once completed, will provide renewable power, potable water, wastewater treatment, district cooling and solid waste treatment services as well as infrastructure in the kingdom.
