Senegal's Compagnie Sahélienne d'Entreprise (CSE), a road construction company, has secured a 44 million euros ($46.5 million) contract for the Dande Maayo Road Project, connecting Orofondé to Nguidjilone in the north of the country. In a significant development, CSE, the nation's leading construction and public works firm controlled by the Sow family, has won a major contract to build a section of the Dakar-Saint-Louis motorway via Tivaouane.

Funding for these projects, which include a 200-kilometer (km) route linking Dakar to Saint Louis, is being provided jointly by Société Générale Corporate and the Saudi Fund for Development, with Société Générale contributing $360 million and the Saudi Fund for Development providing $63 million for the Dakar-Tivaouane stretch. Other road projects are also in progress to enhance Senegal's highway network, which is expanding rapidly, aiming to reach a total of 531km by 2026.
