Singaporean venture capital firm Play Ventures has secured $22.4 million of its targeted $40 million debut fund.
The funding was secured from 10 limited partners or backers in the vehicle.
Play Ventures will focus on six to eight companies a year, with a ticket size of about $500,000.
The vehicle will seek to invest in mobile and personal computer free-to-play startups and has already committed in three companies.
