Hmlet, a Singapore-based co-living space provider, has secured $40 million in Series B investment round.

The funding round was led by Burda Principal Investments, which was joined by existing investor, Sequoia India, and new backers, Mitsubishi Real Estate and Reinventure.

Hmlet intends to use the proceeds from the financing to grow its presence in gateway cities across its existing markets of Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney.

The startup said in a statement that It is also planning to launch in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Tokyo.
