HWAS Assets, a Chinese wealth management firm, has raised $20 million in a Series C+ financing round.

HWAS Assets received the new capital from Affirma Capital, a Singaporean private equity firm owned and operated by Standard Chartered Private Equity.

The firm intends to use the new funds to further extend into the overseas market and upgrade itself into a one-stop global asset allocation and wealth management platform.

Furthermore, HWAS Assets also plans to allocate the new capital towards boosting investments in big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and financial technology.
