Singapore-based Brilliant Labs, a generative artificial intelligence (AI)-embedded augmented reality (AR) glasses developer, has secured $3 million in seed funding for its development of generative AI-embedded AR glasses. The funding round was led by Plug and Play Ventures, and Moveon Technologies as well as angel backers.

Brilliant Labs, founded in 2019, focuses on human-device interactions through the creation of AI-enhanced AR glasses. Its flagship product, Monocle, is an open-source wearable AR glasses that enables the integration of AI-enabled applications to enhance human productivity and creativity. With features like an embedded microphone, computer vision-ready camera, display, and hackable field-programmable gate array accelerator chip, developers can build applications that seamlessly interface with generative AI technologies, providing a more immersive and natural user experience.
