Sino Zimbabwe Cement completes building $10 mln brick and tile plant

Sino Zimbabwe Cement Co., a cement manufacturer, has completed the construction of the brick and tile manufacturing plant located on the outskirts of Gweru.

With a total investment of $10 million in the first phase of the project, the new plant, which is going through a test run, initially has the capacity to produce 60 million bricks per annum and will increase to 100 million bricks.

Sino Zimbabwe Cement said that it will be making bricks from the by-product of the cement manufacturing plant, contributing significantly in the campaign to go green.

The state-of-the-art plant, which is creating employment opportunities in the country, will be producing bricks that include face bricks that are currently being imported.
